Oh, excellent! I'm glad that worked out. Ange picked up the MO yesterday, and we got your address on our home PC. Coira doesn't know about it yet. It may get here in time to be a stocking stuffer. She's going to be very excited to get her first chapter book. As it is now, she'll bring you three or four to read to her at once. She's way beyond those, if you ask me.

just so everyone knows,,

Brit said she regrets not putting in an authors note.

She would like everyone to know the book is designed to be read at night as a bed time story.  what this means is that everytime fiddle bug takes a nap or goes to sleep, thats the end of when a parent reads.

This is meant to be a short ongoing fiddle bug experience for busy moms and dads who want to read to thier child.

If you get someone else to buy one, please mention this.  THe book itself looks to contain a lot of words for a "childrens book", but it is well worth what the price is.

Its not a singe chapter but multiple.  The book had to be cut in half due to the cost of printing.  This makes it a very good opportunity for brit because the second half is already written and most illustrations are done.

so far 40 have been sold.

I know a lot of you here would like to publish your own book and the wife found another resource for publishing.

http://www.48hrbooks.com
Location- Akron Ohio
Here they simply print what you supply,, your in total control.

You can also (as suggested in the site), purchase a block of ISBN numbers (10) for 275 bux.  Puts you in further control.

http://www.isbn.org

Fiddlebug part 2 is complete but not printed,, illustrations not done.

good stuff, another book should give birth soon called "clyde"

Awesome. Ange wanted me to ask you last week if part 2 was ready yet. Coira really enjoyed it, and it was fun having some sort of continuing story to come back to every night. We started reading The Wind in The Willows awhile back, but the language was so far over Coira's head I had to pause to figure out what they were saying. They spoke a completely different kind of English back then. :D

As for them printing exactly what you supply, I'm not sure I like that idea. It's a lot less work on their part to not have someone editing your books. And trust me, everyone needs an editor. No one knows their bad spelling and grammar until someone shoves it in their face. ;) Is it a lot cheaper, because they're doing a lot less for you?

its not that its much cheaper, she paid around 11.90 per book when she bought 150 total plus shipping.  the second round of books (50) cost her a lot more per book.  Author house is in line with costs , the point here is that you as an author are in more control of all the phases without having to pay more for criteria required by the publisher.

in the case of this new source, its your job to make sure your editing is done and everything is correct prior to thier printing.

i totally get what your saying about grammer though, you pretty much nailed and it is true.

Just yesterday grammer and information flow caused me to spend 5 hours of lost time on a battery monitoring system I was trying to commission (per the manual) just because of the construction of a sentences wording and the mis-use of an adverb.

While on the phone with Phoenix Broadband, i pointed it out without even thinking about what i was actually saying,,,,,,,,as in "your manual is "fugged up".  In the Router option of logging in, the manual implied that after step x , i continue to the Telnet access instructions by way of hyperterminal. Yeah, i get it though.

Ill let her know bout part 2.
Part 2 will be a small chapter book dealing with one story line called "Craigs Quest for Crysal Cave" where he gets to join in on the treasure / club house. Craig never got to go there because of his dependency to the water.  The rest of his friends made sure craig was able to come play to because as you know, a frog will dry out if its not near water.

you can have rough drafts now by emailing revisedelf@yahoo.com.

I just checked it.

or just email brit or call 304 772 4082.  she has a few books here still but has a book signing comiing up soon.

this is brits book, so its better to email or call her about it.  I just fund it:D

using the 48hr book link will make it about 500bux to get a book in full circulation.
