A decent aftermarket Al performance DS will run you $400-500. A carbon fiber shaft isn't necessary for our cars.One inexpensive option is to get an Al shaft from a Crown Vic, have it shortened to fit. Another inexpensive option is to have the dampener removed from the factory shaft, then have it rebalanced. Take the junkyard shaft and yours to the driveshaft shop, they can do the rest.
