How would the fuel computer react?I may be out of context, but I do have a mind-dot when it comes to blocking the EGR valve like that... a couple of years back, Cougar A was having stalling problems, and the mechanic at the shop used a penny (a freakin' one cent POS) and some kind of heat/putty glue, it did fix the stalling problem, but eventually created more problems than it solved. When I confronted the mechanic, his only response was, "I thought you where taking the car off the road, and only needed a temporary solution":mad:Two some odd years later, there is still an outstanding invoice... but suffice it to say, I will never EVER let anyone touch my car EVER AGAIN. So, I am curious? Why block off the EGR? Is it because you've done some other mod that requires the removal? I'd really like to learn. Quote Selected

Reply #13 – March 25, 2008, 08:40:40 PM alright.... i know there are no performance gains from this. the ONLY reason i did it is to clean up the engine bay a bit. i've done this to every single one of my 2.3 turbo motors and have never had a single problem. one of these motors has been in service for 4 years now with no ill effect.
