Torque Converters

I didn't get everything nailed down yet but it looks like I am getting a built AOD for $400 and an 8.8 axle with 3.55s and trac lock. If I get both, or just the trans, what should I go with for a converter? What would be a good choice for after I get my HO conversion done?

Had a 22-2400 on mine when it had the stock HO.
Even used it before the trans swap with the supercharger, good stall range for a stock HO.

I'm still ironing out the details so I dont know if it has a converter or not.  I never assume anything.

Ok the story is its got a hardened input shaft, and an upgraded overdrive band, for sure.  he said the shop that rebuilt it did more and he was assured that it would handle more than the 400 crank hp he was going to make.  It has no shift kit and no converter and I have to put the right linkage rod into it for my hammer but $400 for a newly rebuilt trans with 0 miles on it sounds like a pretty good deal to me, I just need a shift kit and a converter.  Oh and the deal with my 8.8 TC rear fell through I'm pretty bummed about that.
