My 84 has cruise and I have the A frame steering wheel. That turbo should be a T-3. The biggest difference in the setup between it and a 5spd is the boost is cut down to help save the tranny. Being a 84 is should have the C3  tranny.

Yes, it is the c3, as soon as I get home(if it lasts that long) I am getting rid of that little monster.

Nice! Now take the 'Bird off the market, you'll love having a matched pair!

I would love to do this. But it is just not possible at this time. God would I love to do that. I have always dreaded the day the Bird must go. But it is for the better. I will build another, I promise.;)

Brian,

Congrats on the purchase!

When you get a moment, could you see what the build date & exterior color code is?

Thanks,
Brent

Absolutely I will do this for you. As soon as you tell me where to find it. My Bird has not tags or stickers or anything. I know there is one on the door and under the hood. Let me know which it is you want and I will get it......screw it. I'll take pics of them both for ya....
here ya go.

Looks like 2J/Standard Midnight (Medium) Canyon Red and 1Q/Clearcoat Silver Metallic which would be an un-documented combo i assume. :hick:

Interior is: GJ/Oxford Grey
Trans is: V/C-3 Auto

Hope it turns out awesome like your Ol' 'Bird!

Thanks Brian,

With the build date of May 1984, this would further confirm Eric's thoughts about the late addition of that color combo.

109 miles and it hasn't dropped past the full marker yet! I am LOVING that.

My 5.0 does that too :D .

Haha nice score man.  It should clean up really nice and serve as a great DD.

I buffed the paint out and it turned out kinda nice. In some spots the paint is REALLY thin from fading. I had to ware overhauls so I didn't get red shiznit all over me. I will post some before and after pictures today if it clears up a little bit. More work on it this weekend.
