How would fox stang lights fit?

I'm pretty sure they aren't going to bolt right up, as in the bolts lining up, but I'm talking about size. are they smaller both length and height? how about depth? hopefully someone has tried to see how stang lights would fit.

btw I'm talking fox stang to 88 Tbird

their pretty close, but stang lights are a bit narrower, and the angle of the lense is a bit different i think.

so if the mounting itself was solved, and blackouts were put over the lights so you couldn't really see them, then you could use stang lights and it wouldn't look completely shiznitty? :dunno:

No, but I've got some "square" Bosch H6054s in there.
I had to build my own holders and brackets to keep them adjustable, and notch the header panel lower surface for the lights' s (if I did it again, I'd probably grind/sand off the headllight's s instead).

The good part... they use H4's, and they're all glass, so I can run 100+ watt bulbs if I want, and not worry about melting the lights (unlike the stockers). The light pattern is a hell of a lot better too. I can actually SEE!!!!!!!

PS: If I ever get off my lazy butt, I'll make some filler panels to cover the inside open space. Just need to bend up some aluminum sheet, and use 2 of the original mounting holes for the stock lights.
Maybe use some GTS clears to keep them "aero"?

Sorry for the dark pics, it's 2:30AM here.
At least I FINALLY got a digital camera.  :ies:

Was that aimed at me?
I didn't start it, Ford did, with their silly Mustang SVO....

Yes dude that was definetly aimed at you.
It looks ok on the svo but i looks totally retarded on a bird.
I hate to see somebody do that to a bird no matter how beatup it is.
I hope that's your winter car.
I'm sure no matter how yellowed your old lights were, they could have been brought back to life somewhat with the proper techniques.

I bet with some kinda filler around the lights and a set of clear covers it would look ok.

they dont fit

how so? I'm not talking direct bolt-on, but are they a mile off, or just half an inch?  :dunno:

My guess is nobody here has actually tried to fit them.
Best bet would probably be a wrecking yard and a wrench.

Stockers are in a box in the closet. I could have them back in within 20 minutes if I wanted.

Yep, winter, spring, summer, fall... 365 days a year for the last 9 years.  8 1/2 with the Franken-lights in there.

Thanks, but I prefer to see more than 20 feet ahead of the car.

I suppose if you like, I could take out the squares, and put in some nice rounds, like a certain "jimfulco" did......

Don't know about Tbird, but I know for sure they will not fit in a Cougar. The Mustangs are taller, a little wider and are at a different angle than the Cougars. :)
