cfi to sfi Reply #3 – February 27, 2007, 05:46:10 PM An 87 or 88 v8 wiring harness or 88 v6 wiring harness plus injectors intake, sensors etc. What else do you have planned because you'll only be picking up about 20 horspower or so with this swap? I mean if you're going to convert the harness to sefi why not just throw a 302 in and be done with it? heres a little guide on how too hook up a v8 harness in an 87 v6 car made by bondo cougar. I have yet to finish my project and test this all out but this worked for him. Come spring I'll be using it to hook up my ho v8. http://www.filefactory.com/file/f742ec/ Actually this should be put on the site Eric or in a sticky under engine swaps. Quote Selected

cfi to sfi Reply #6 – February 27, 2007, 08:00:08 PM which v6 tfi or sefi is better for proformance stuff or turbos instead of switching to a 302 or bigger v8. also would switching to a turbo coupe motor be easier than a v6 to v8? Quote Selected
cfi to sfi Reply #7 – February 27, 2007, 08:54:15 PM Both switching to SEFI or a Turbo-4 would require switching wiring harnesses. Quote Selected
cfi to sfi Reply #8 – February 27, 2007, 10:13:45 PM Basicaly, no matter what you do involves switching the harness and computer. I had a 5.0 CFI in my car, and you really can't do to much before really getting into it. 5.0 and turbo 4 are the best choice IMO. Turbo 4 would be a good swap. If you ask around, I'm sure you can get info on most if not all of your options. Quote Selected

cfi to sfi Reply #13 – February 28, 2007, 01:17:07 PM will a v6 tranny work with a 302 v8? since i know that a turbo coupe motor wont fit up to a v6 tranny. Quote Selected
cfi to sfi Reply #14 – February 28, 2007, 01:51:50 PM What tranny is in it ( sorry not a V6 guy). Quote Selected
