ok after some searching i see that the 1990 ranger didn't not have a 3.0 l v6, so i have to find a 1991 i guess, and im guessing im gonna have to fab headers, unless the 3.0 rangers fit on the sho

The Ranger's 5-bolt wheels are the traditional 5-on-4.5" pattern (same as Mustang). The SHO used the 5-on-4.25" pattern (same as MN12 T-Bird/Cougar).  The 2.9 Ranger tranny should have the same bell housing as the 3.0 (I'm sure Chuck could verify whether this is right or wrong)

o ok good, cause i don't wanna buy a newer one cause its gonna cost me more money, i just want a project/sleeper. Something to keep me busy and out of trouble. Plus the experience of fabing up everything would be great, since automotive is the field i wanna go into

If you want some 16" Mustang wheels to put the SHO's tires on, you could pick up some of those 16x7 "base" 5-spoke GT wheels that came on the '99-04 GTs (not the 17 inchers)

A FWD block will not bolt into a RWD application without major surgery.  Im pretty sure the oil pan will not clear the crossmember, there isnt a oil pan that will bolt on, so you are going to have to fab one.  Go to the SHO boards, this topic has been beat to death, I think there is one known RWD SHO running around and that was a couple years and alot of money in the making.

Once you see how much it costs to keep there engines running, that alone will scare you off.

Possibly?

From the sound of it you're looking at wiring, headers or manifolds that will work, intake, etc.

Will the ranger clutch fit the SHO's flywheel and vice versa?:dunno:
