Foxtbirdcougarforums Top 25 ET List! Reply #61 – February 10, 2007, 10:56:03 AM Awesome! I remember when you did that. Just to clarify, I used a different 1/8 to 1/4 calculator so I could get MPH too, and I will use it on anybody with only 1/8 times (so the calculations are consistant). (TurboCoupe50, if you have some better 1/8's post them up and I'll calculate). I do need to know what tranny you had behind the 429.Calculator here: http://www.wallaceracing.com/8th-quarter.php Quote Selected

Foxtbirdcougarforums Top 25 ET List! Reply #68 – February 13, 2007, 12:56:25 PM This is my last full throttle pass with me driving the Gray 83 Bird. April 2006. The next pass I won the big one. First points race of the year. Points, cash and a 3 ft trophy. This is my wife's bracket racer. She let me drive it that night because my 84 lo-po Bird wasn't ready yet. THIS IS NOT THE QUICKEST PASS IN THE GRAY BIRD. (See below). It is the only timeslip I could find. It auto-shifts at 4250 rpm. LO-PO vintage 1977 460, small cam, cast iron exhaust manifolds, 600 Carter, 3.73 gears, 28 inch rears, stock 77 police car C-6. Very stock, very strong, and very consistent! I really love this car!! I have lost count of the number of wins and r/ups since April 1997. Best et with manual shifting at 4500 rpm (it has stock 1977 rod bolts and valve spings after all) it ran a 8.60 at 82.8 mph. Car weighs 3550 with me in it. -- Quote Selected

My LO_PO 84 Bracket/everyday Bird Reply #70 – February 13, 2007, 01:23:40 PM This is my 84 Slow-Bird. It has E6 py heads, Lincoln Town Car (86-90 ?) P.O.C. engine that shifts at 4200 (because that is where it runs out of breath). It has 3.45 rear gears, stock A.O.D., Carter 600, stock 84 Mustang H.O. intake, duraspark dist. with a GM H.E.I. ignition module, MSD Blaster 2 coil, Stock H.O. Stainless headers, H-Pipe. The car is very reliable but not as predictable to dial in and therefore has cost me several late reces. But I have learned to race (and win) as well as loose in a slow car!! THIS TIMESLIP SHOWS WHAT HAS ONLY HAPPENED TWICE IN MY LIFE--IDENTICAL PACKAGES AND THE COMPUTER TOOK IT OUT TO THE 1/10000 OF A SECOND!!!! The first time happened around 2000 or 2001. Ironically, both runs were against the reigning track champion!! This car was bought from a local charity organization with antifreeze in the oil pan for $ 280.00. One of the greatest buys for me yet. I love this car also, but not nearly as much as the Gray Bird or T. Coupe. Quote Selected
Foxtbirdcougarforums Top 25 ET List! Reply #71 – February 13, 2007, 01:32:32 PM Nice slip! That's an awfully high MPH for the ET, what's this car's best?Taken the 83 Heritage or the 460 TC yet? Quote Selected
Foxtbirdcougarforums Top 25 ET List! Reply #72 – February 13, 2007, 01:44:28 PM Birdman, the mph looks weird because the chin spoiler got the beam. (It took me years to learn that trick) I normally run 68 -69 mph with this car. The 87 T.C. has not been to the track yet. The 83 Heritage is waiting her turn with my wrenches. Haven't decided yet, but I'm thinking 351W for it.:D Quote Selected
Foxtbirdcougarforums Top 25 ET List! Reply #73 – February 13, 2007, 01:50:09 PM Thanks again!I updated the MPH for the 84 to reflect a 69.00 1/8 MPH. Make sure you submit new ones when you go out again this year. Quote Selected
