T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / Wanted: 86, 87, or 88.......

Just a heads up, I haven't gone to look at the brown one, but they also have a grey '88 at the same lot, and it (the lot) is  kinda...sketchy.. lots of junk. I have been by there when they first posted the other one but I need to go look at the brown myself but just wanted to give a warning on that car lot.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars WANTED / WTB: 83-88 Bird or Cat
Looking for a garage mate for the SVO, can be turbocoupe/cat or 5.0, 5 spd prefered but not required. Wanting to have a nice driver that I can play with, the closer to Olkahoma City the better if anyone has any info on one I am all ears.  Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is what you looking for but maybe http://natomessageboard.com/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=001796

Hmm, that's not the one I was thinking about but it is differnt, a bitt too many ground effects for my taste but still well done..Reason being I am looking for a 5.0 bird locally and looking for ideas, and I thought I saw it here, will keep digging through threads =)

General Fox T-Bird/Cougar Discussion / Looking for a specific 'Bird..
Hey all, I figured it would be easier to ask, as my Google-Fu and Search skills are lacking.
I am looking for a pic that I could "swear" I saw on here awhile back, it was an 87-88 bird, I think it was a turbocoupe, that someone had done what resembled a 71-73 Mach I-esque paint job on it. All I remember was the car was white with black inserts/accents. Anyone know the one I am talking about?

Suspension/Steering / Ride control suspension question
Hey all, haven't been on in awhile, this summer has about killed me.  But in the interum (sp?) my little brother has purchased an 88 TC, and he loves it (but keeps trying to trade for my SVO), anyway he said that in the corners or when the electronic ride thingy kicks on or into "sport" mode it feels great, but any other time he says it feels more like he is driving a Lincoln, and it';s all "floaty-like". Some guy at a garage told him it was probably his springs, but he was wondering if there is a way to turn the suspension on to Sport and leave it, sort of like an override? He hasn't registered here yet but I thought I'd go ahead and ask while it was fresh on my mind.

do you have a temp gauge on that IRS?
i saw stupid high diff fluid temps on my car with the exhaust dumped in front of the IRS.

Negative on the temp gauge..it'sactually dumped right under the passanger floorpan, if I keep it I am gonna redirect it out the side like the lightnings due to it being so obnoxious sounding in the car..

specs on the SVO?

Not sure on the cam but I've got a 3" downpipe & calt-less 3" exhaust dumped just in front of the rear end (horrible drone), Cobra IRS, LA3 computer, manual boost controler, and an E6 exhaust manifold...really like the car just some little things it needs..will have to wait & see, I hate to get rid of it, but plan to stay in the 2.3t camp unless I find a killer deal on a 96/98 Cobra.

Figured I'd follow up, rust under the paint/around the rear window and the motor makes very little power.. not wanting a huge project again.. will wait & see what else turns up.

Start planning stuff for the TC ;) Birds are way cooler. You will still have an awsome car, and then have cash to do things to it. That is always a plus. I say go for it. Is this TC a 5 speed?

I agree on the "cool factor", had this been a 5.0 to a regular stang I wouldn't even question it, but being an SVO made me pause..
I believe it is a 5 spd, but not sure the interior is supposed to be near perfect. The guy I am getting it from has another TC that he's stroked to a 2.5 so I have a go-to guy locally on birds as well. One question I have is the front ends, are the control arms/ball joints as much a pita as the SVO stuff iss or are they more readily available?
