Engine Tech / B Cam question
Need some opinons.:D

Have a 5.0 HO on my stand.  It has Edelbrock performer heads and a Bcam.  It came out of my old stang with a T5.

How would this engine be swapped into my Cougar with a AOD and 3.73 rear gears?

Ive heard it isnt optimal, but it sure ran good in my stang.  If I did a valvebody and better converter, would it do OK?  I know it would have to feel much better than my lowpo 5.0 LOL

Why is my main fused charge wire blowing the 200 amp fuse?

This is the second time it has done it, in the past several weeks.

  FYI.......Ive done a 3g upgrade on it several yrs ago.  Replaced the regulator about 6 months ago.

Is the alternator doing it, or is it something else.  I usually notice it blows it, when starting the engine or just shortly after??????

Misc Tech / Need some GM 5.7 help
2 days of hard to start, after 6-8 cranks can get to start most of the time.  Has worsened now and takes 10 or so, if even then.

My fuel pressure at priming is 52-54 psi.  When I crank it drops to 44-45 ish.

I dont think that is enough to keep the poppets open and fire.  How do I troubleshoot the problem, as in is it FPR or fuel pump. 

Both pump and regulator are original on a 96 vortec with 158K.

Misc Tech / Hood question
The passenger side of my hood, near the windshield side, sticks up a little bit.

I can push it down, but after I drive it, or open the hood and close it, it is up again. 

What is the cause/how do I fix it??:hick:

User Rides / installed halo headrest
I got some grey halo headrests from my brother and installed them on my car.  Im trying to decide if I like them, or not.  The grey matched really well.

 Feel free to post opinions.

Anybody put them on their standard seats before?
