Lounge / carfax report....
i was wondering if anyone has a free account to check any vin through carfax? I was wondering if i could pm whoever has it to check my car out. I suspect it was in an accident, but i want to see if it was reported. Pl;us i just want to know the general history on it.

Body/Appearance/Interior / got some interior work done....
I got some work done on my interior. Started changing the color of the panels im working with. First pic is the panel i picked up from jerry (thanks again!) And the 2nd pic is what i did to it, Cleaned it up and recovered the armrest. And the 3rd pic is a teaser of what im doing with my interior.

Engine Tech / possible tfi falure again....SOLVED!!! Somewhat.. New development inside.
i need some input... I changed my tfi that was taking a . It would just totally cut out then come back, and sometimes it would just die altogether. So i let it cool then it would restart. So changed the tfi and all was good till today....  Went to lunch then come out and car wouldn't start:mad:. So i wait till it cooled like last time and still no fire. And when i scanned the engine comp i got code 14 irratic (sp) pip. And that was the only part i never changed. So i changed it today got the engine retimed and it did fire but stalled so i turnd the dizzy twards the engine to give it a little more and i got nothing. It will crank all day long just won't start. So i thought timing was screwy so i got the timing mark on the balencer at 0, and got the cam marks lined up so it was at tdc got the rotor button pointing at #1 plug wire on the cap. and still nothing. Now i replaced the coil, pip, tfi, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and ign switch. So im lost here guys... Please help the car still sits where it quit. So is there anything i missed?

General Computer Forum / laptop problems....
im having some trouble getting my laptop to find my wireless network. There are 2 connections one for the network cable and another labled 1394 net adapter before i had to reinstall xp on it due to corruption it worked fine. Now i can't even find a wireless network using the wireless card. So what can i do to fix it?

Now honda has recalled some mini vans and trucks due to brake falures. Now everyones gonna be like Oh S*** I can't stop!!! and call 911 over it lol.


Statement by American Honda Motor Co., Inc., Regarding VSA Modulator Recall

TORRANCE, Calif. March 16, 2010


Honda will recall approximately 344,000 Odyssey and 68,000 Element vehicles from the 2007-2008 model years in the U.S. to modify the Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) modulator. Honda has received customer complaints of brake pedals that feel "soft" or that gradually exhibit a pedal height that gets lower (closer to the floor) before the vehicle stops. In affected vehicles, this condition tends to very slowly increase over time.

Some VSA modulators were assembled in a manner that could allow air intrusion, making it possible for air to enter the modulator during the VSA self-check mode. While only a miniscule amount of air can enter the system during each check, over a period of months or years, the air will acspoogeulate and can result in the "soft brake pedal" or "low brake pedal" condition symptoms associated with this issue. Although not all vehicles being recalled are affected by this issue, we are recalling all possible units to assure all customers that their vehicles will perform correctly.

Honda is announcing this recall to encourage all owners of these vehicles to take their vehicle to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification from Honda that their vehicle is affected. Notification to customers will start at the end of April.

Once owners of these vehicles receive written notification of this recall from Honda, they should contact their authorized Honda dealer to schedule an appointment for repair. When Honda identifies concerns of this nature, nothing is more important to the company than fulfilling our obligation and responsibility to alert our customers. To this end in addition to contacting customers by mail, after April 19, 2010, owners of these vehicles will be able to determine if their vehicle requires repair by going on-line or calling. Honda owners can go to http://www.recalls.honda.com or call (800) 999-1009, and select option 4.

Engine Tech / got a few questions on a few things....
as the title states....
I can't find a list of injector top colors. Like red is this and so on. I am looking to upgrade the ignition and fuel systems to run more boost but i want to get all my reserch out of the way so when i have all the parts (got most of them already) i can go ahead and get it done. So does anyone have the list? and i plan on upgrading to the 255 lph fuel pump. And are the SC injectors a direct swap to what is on the engine now? since thats where i will pull some parts from.

As far as ignition i was looking at going with high energy wires and plugs to match possibly e3's, And possibly a flame thrower coil from msd.

And what is the safest amount of boost i can push the old IHI turbo to without causing damage to it and without upgrading for now?

I was wondering what the seat height differences were with a manual track vs. a power one on the seat. The power seat feels too high as i have maybe a half inch between my head and the roof of the car. and i remember having more room than that with my manual tracks when i had my 84. Im just wondering if the manual track would drop the seat lower in the car.

Engine Tech / Boost issues
so how do i check for a bad turbo? I have no boost at all till i floor it and when i do that i get 2 lbs of boost but when i let off back to 3/4 throttle it goes to 0.

I can't find where this part goes or what it even is? i know when i dorve the car earlier today the temp gauge didn't work at all, and the heat wasn't that great. But the coolant level is good and full. So what is it?

User Rides / Back in a fox!!
After 3 long years searching for another fox and comming up short ive finnaly found one! Its a 1988 Ford thunderbird turbo coupe. 5 speed, sunroof/moonroof, 6 way power seat on drives side, premiun sound W/eq, leather interior (shot), system sensery panel, trunk popper, gas door popper, snowflake wheels, 4 wheel disk. Basically alot of good options. And now for the pix!!

Misc Tech / lock cylinder issues
I just picked up a 88 tc and im having issues keeping it running. you go to start it like normal and let go of the key and it dies. I think its the lock cylinder thats giving me problems because every time i go to start it it fires right up first try. But i noticed the keys were aftermarket so im thinking the lock cylinder was replaced. Now if this was done incorrectly what problems would this cause?

As the title states i am looking for info on these motors. Like what is the common issues with them and how good there on gas you know the normal stuff. Im loooking to pick up a 88 TC 95% rust free red interior leather unsure of options but it does have the snowflake rims on it.

General Computer Forum / reformat question
ok im going to reformat my inlaws comp since it has had numerouse issues going on with it. But what im asking is i know im gonna wipe out all the drivers and all but they have a DSL modum that i had to use the instalation cd with it. But now the cd is lost and i looked online for drivers there are none. So now if i were to just put the new os on after the reformat would windows xp still see that its still there and operational? or would i have to find the cd?
