Lounge / Is there anyway this could go wrong?
I have a '55 Willys Sedan I'm selling, it's posted on a website that pretty much only people in Kansas use. I haven't seen listings from anywhere else since the company is a Kansas based company. Anyway I get a text about said vehicle from a New York number saying that they want to buy the car, will have someone ship it for them, to pull the listing and that they want my PayPal address to send payment. I've received replies to any text I've sent. I lied saying I didn't have a PayPal to see if it was a spam type thing. They are insisting on paying through PayPal. I could pull the funds asap if they are indeed sent. Is there anyway this could really go wrong for me? I'm kinda weirded out.

Suspension/Steering / Best choice for Shocks/Struts
Just browsing on Summit for new shocks and struts for the time I install my Caster/Camber Plates. Their options are KYB and Monroe that I would go with. What are everyones opinions and experiences?

Engine Tech / Intake Carb combo
Well I'm sick of the CFI and I'm going Carbed. I've been looking at a Performer series intake and a Holley or Edelbrock 600 or 650 carb. I'm running a factory '84 Flat Tappet 5.0 with exhaust. I plan on putting different heads on it. All opinions and options I'm open to. Need some help shopping parts. Thanks guys.

Suspension/Steering / Master Cylinder Replacement
I know most parts from 79-04 are interchangeable. I need to replace the Master Cylinder on my Cougar, will anything from a 90s Stang work and is there a difference between the GT and Cobra MC? How extensive is the replacement process? I found a 93 Cobra MC and Resevoir brand new, and it's what I would go with if possible. All suggestions and tips are appreciated.

Lounge / I wish I could keep this project.
20 years ago when my Uncle was killed my Cougar(his car) was parked in a storage garage with 9 other vehicles, one of those is a 1955 Willys Sedan my grandfather bought at auction, body and upholstery were redone right before he bought it. I so badly want to keep this car and drop a small V8 in it with a 5 speed and some decent wheels and just use it as a weekend cruiser. Unfortunately being a single father with 2 kids, My Cougar, a brand new truck and my T-Bird I can't put any money towards it and I'm trying to sell the Bird too. Here are some pics I took of it today at his house where we parked it. It's a neat and rare little car. It has an Inline six with a 3 speed on the Column.

T-Bird/Cougar Parts & Cars FOR SALE / 1984 Thunderbird
I'm selling a 1984 Thunderbird. Car is in great shape, obvious issues are faded moudlings and interior, all parts are there except radio. 3.8L Column shift car. Has two blown freeze plugs. I don't have time or money to invest in this car and I need it gone. Will post pics as soon as possible. Located in Concordia, KS.

Asking $1200 OBO

If this car sells I might part out, but I wont have alot of time to pull parts and will consider crushing if no one wants it. This car is in great shape, but there is no way I can keep it around after I move.

User Rides / New DD: '09 Lone Star Ram
Traded in my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Saturday for a 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 with the Lone Star trim package. I have to say, I love this truck alittle less than my fox bodies. It is sooo nice! 5.7L Hemi, 4x4, Crew Cab, Leather, Mp3 single disc with Bluetooth and Sirius Satelite radio, Power Sliding rear glass, power everything, Digital Driver Information Center, Steering Wheels Controls. Came with Bed Liner, Husky molded plastic floor mats, Chrome Bug shield. It has some pep, it looks amazing, it is super comfortable, and roomy. My two boys fit in their carseats with plenty of extra space. I've used it so much to haul stuff in the last 2 days haha. Anyway here are some pics.




I'll be working weekends now so I don't have to worry about extra cash for my increased Vehicle Payment haha. If I can find a nice car trailer I can haul the Bird around to get it going, and start my business.

Suspension/Steering / Necessary suspension mods?
I'm slowly rebuilding the suspension on my Cougar, and I'm trying to compile a list of what all I should upgrade.

So far I have:
MM Caster/Camber Plates
CHE U/L Tubular Control Arms

I'm going to buy or make a unit with subframe connectors with side rails and a web design tying the two together for support. I'll be upgrading brakes on the front with a StopTech Big Brake Upgrade, rear disc conversion. I'm thinking Mach 1 Springs.

Lounge / What color control arms?
I work weekends as a server, and use it as my project money. I have enough to get some CHE control arms, yet I'm undecided what color to get for my Cougar.

Lounge / Carmen: I need info on the sequential kit I'm installing
I FINALLY FOUND THE KIT!!!! It was hiding in a box in storage. Now that I'm finally installing it after 4 years, the instructions say I need to access your site for the taillight wire colors to know which to cut into.

Lounge / What engine to build?
My '84 Cougar is my pride and joy and will always be in my possession no matter what. It has come to the point that I am happy with the appearance, and I want to start on the drivetrain and suspension.

I'm debating on what to do as far as a motor is concerned. Here is what I'm considering.

1.) Freshening up my 5.0L(re-ring, replace gaskets, cam, heads, carb swap)
2.) Start fresh with a new block and build a mean 347
3.) Go all out and swap in a Coyote 5.0L Crate Motor

I realize the Crate swap is going to be difficult and time consuming. Especially my car being an '84 and having virtually no electronics, or modern conveniences.

All opinions are welcome. This car will be with me until the day I die.

Engine Tech / Cam/Heads for Non Roller 5.0
I'm looking for good options for a set of heads and a cam for my Non Roller '84 5.0L. I'm not to familiar with motors and that's why I'm seeking help. I plan to convert to carb and run a 650 or bigger depending on what setup will suit me best. I've got a stock block with 115,200 miles on it, a C4 auto tranny, and a 7.5" rear with 3.73s w/ Trak-Lok. I plan to rebuild the tranny to handle a power gain(it slips anyway)

I need opinions on a setup, links to parts, anything and everything helps. I'm a Collision Tech so numbers on lift and duration are like a foreign language.

User Rides / '84 Cougar
I've been doing alot of stuff to my Cougar since I first got it out of storage 6 years ago. This year I have made alot of progress. Tonight I pulled it out of my storage unit to finally fix the wrap around coolant hoses that I rigged in there when the heater core went out.

Also just got my package today from Vinnie and put on the Distributor boot. Tomorrow it gets new plugs, chrome valves covers and some nice red Ford Racing plug wires. I know it's not much progress. I hope to be doing a carb swap and alot of Engine Bay cleanup. As you can see from the pics down below, it looks fantastic inside and out(no restoration done, this is all ORIGINAL except wheels, hood and exhaust.), but the engine bay needs some TLC.
