It looks like the car sits really high all the way around.  Does anyone else see it?  Nothing wrong, just curious.

Yeah, whats up with that?

And no offense but, your asking WAY too much. IMO

That is about what I paid for mine and his is in better shape. These cars go for anything from $1500 to $3500 where I am from.

In this dude's defense I paid that much for my T-bird and it wasn't as clean.  Whether I paid too much or not, I can't say.  I wanted a T-bird and I'd been looking for about a year, I wanted this car, so paying $2k was fine with me.

Sorry, I dont think the asking price is that far fetched.  I know of someone near me paying $2800 for an 88 cougar that couldn't even pass emissions.  Weather they got screwed or not was their decision.  But if you seriously are interested e-mail me hotrodz15@yahoo.com and make me a serious offer.  There is nothing that cant be negociated.

As for the suspension.  In the front is just stock coil springs.  They are only about 5 months old.  I replaced them due to the origional springs were cracked in three places.  At the same time I replaced the struts, and the sway bar pins.  With higher and stiffer front end I decided to put air shocks in the back to make the car look more level because as many know the rear springs were sagging.  I know it is a little out side of the box of lowering everything, but it is the only car anywhere near me like it, and I get a lot of compliments and looks.  With all the new suspension parts the car handles a hundred times better then when I got it.

In the past year I have also given the motor a complete tune up, repaced the fuel pump and filter, changed the trans filter and fluid, put new axle seals on the rear and added fresh gear lube, of course.  The front brakes were done about a year ago(the rotors were pretty new and in good shape so they only needed pads).  The rear brakes were done about a month ago (new shoes, springs, wheel cylinders, and had the drums cut)  There is a new TPS sitting on top of the motor, and I cleaned out the IAC.

I have all of the service records for the car up to 99 (when the origional owner sold the car).  He even put seat covers on the car which I am still sitting on.  The guy I baught it from had a small fender bender with it, which is why the hood and the nose cone do not line up and the paint is slightly lighter on the nose cone.

The only other problems with the car is some rust  (2 patches about the size of my fist by the rear passenger wheel (doesn't go all the way through), and a little under the doors)  Other than that the body has pretty much the regular wear and tear (no big dents or problems, but a couple of small scratches).  The hood is showing its age.  When you look real close at the hood the paint is cracking up (I've been told it is common for this color)  The AC needs a recharge.  I did this once toward the end of the summer and it leaked out in about two weeks, so I changed as many seals as I could find, but never filled it up again.

I would much rather see this car get sold to anyone that uses this sight just so I have the peace of mind that it will be taken care of.

I did forget to mention that I also installed a remote starter on the car, and it works well.

Another problem that the car might have is when making a very tight turn, like when getting in and out of a parking spot something in the steering doesnt feel right.  I have no idea what it could be, but unless the wheel is all the way turned it handles great.
