I'm planning on leaving LI somewhere between 12-1 am Friday morning, and hooking up with CougarKing in Jersey.  Mercoug302 may be MIA for the drive up.  He's having fun with balljoints.  If we meet him, it will probably be at the Wawa at exit 277 on I-80, around 3-3:30 am.  Last year, we hit DuBois around 9 am I think, probably about the same time this year (Exit 97 if I remember right).

If you are up when we get there, I wouldn't mind some food.  It'll probably just be Steve, my girl, and I.  That is, unless Steve wants to do 110 mph down I-80 again.

i hope to run with you guys to youngstown too. I got a room for Friday and Saturday night again. Not at the red roof but 2.5miles up the road.

I went to the strip last weekend and my friends in our convoy were flying upwards of 85-95 mph and my lil cat was gasping for cool liquid. She was hotter then hell. So my trip might be at 70mph if it's alright with you guys. Im doing some fixing tonight to see if I can get her to cool down.

My '88 XR7 used to overheat all the time in the summer; even on the interstate. My solution was to crank the heater and roll the windows down. It got pretty hot in there, but I never had to stop and let the 5.0 cool down.

Wow, that would add like another 6 hours to the trip.  Umm... If there is anyone coming down from New England, I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but I don't really think I can make that trip.

For refrence, it is near Albany.  If someone were to pick them up, they could run 90 to 79 to 80, or therabouts.

76 crosses our route at.... Youngstown.  So, I guess we will see you there.

Talk to me at the show... I may be convinced to take a ride to get your wheels, then pass them off to Mercoug302 some time.

If you are running Friday morning to Youngstown, you can hook up with us.  It'll just be me, my GF, and CougarKing.  Mercoug302 isn't making this one again, and neither is Mikey or Gerard.  How far out should I call you?  30 miles or so?

hah well I ran into a lot of trouble a few minutes ago. I was changing out the thermostat on the cougar and SNAP broke one of the two bolts that screws into the block. It so happens to be the lower bolt that allows me no room to use a easyout or whatever. There is about 1/4 inch of the bolt sticking out. I'm going to try to get a pair of vicegrips around it and maybe work it out. If it snaps again bye bye 5.0 and bye bye cat jam.

John because of this I won't be ready. It looks to be like it's going to be a late night tonight plus I have dinner plans this evening with the gf that I had already made reservations. So Im SOL. If you still want to meet we could figure something out, or if you guys just want to stop somewhere else on 80 as I wont be leaving now until later Friday afternoon-evening. I hope to God I can get this broken bolt out or I'll be out of a car.

You'll get it out.  I've busted water pump bolts in the block through the timing cover, with 1/8" sticking out of the block.  A little heat and a pair of vice grips got it right out.  Well, not right out, but got it out.

If you want to have breakfast with us, that'll be a good place to stop for us.  Give me a call, and let me know.

I threw in the towel. I spent almost 100 bucks today in supplies of various things and can't get it out. One  F'ing bolt is the cause of it all.
