TV Cable 'retainer'?... June 30, 2006, 10:23:05 PM The car began shifting weird (earlier and a lot slower than it should) so I took a look at the cable. For whatever reason, the thing that holds the tv cable on the throttle body bracket is missing (bottom half is still there - broken) and I don't know where to get a replacement. Its sorta just dangling there. I'm sure the parts store will have something, but they're useless to ask about finding things like this...what should I be asking or looking for?edit:called and none seem to have it or be able to get it. Ford dealership? Quote Selected
TV Cable 'retainer'?... Reply #1 – June 30, 2006, 11:50:23 PM Getting late so either way, I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow when the dealer opens. No transmission shops are open past 6 (called every one). Are there any more nice things like this on these cars that I should know about? Didn't realize it was that fragile, and this could have caused me an entire transmission. Thought I already knew all the faults of these things but guess I was wrong. Quote Selected

Had it pop on me once. The pedal felt totally different, absolutely no resistance when it is normally a little stiff. Quote Selected
