Paint code

Can anyone tell me the paint code for a black 83 Thunderbird?  Someone tore the spec card off my door.
1983 Thunderbird-302 HO, Holley 650 CFM 4150 DP, Weiand Stealth Intake, Dual-Snorkel Air Cleaner,  Holley Fuel Pump, Procomp HEI Distributor, B&M Holeshot 2400 Converter, Custom 2 1/4 duals with no cats and BBK shorties, Taurus Fan Conversion, FMS Grill, much more to come....

Okay I found the color chart on Coolcats.  But I'm not exactly sure what constitutes standard or clearcoat paint.

All metallic paints from 1983-on were clearcoated. You have 1C. For black...in general...clearcoat = Lincoln, enamel = Mercury and Ford, at least for the 1980's. I don't believe Ford's basic black paint was clearcoat across the board until 1993-ish.

Now I do know of a situation (verified) where a certain 1985 Cougar was ordered in basic black paint (1C) but since the owner's cousin was the line manager at the Lorain, OH plant, he received clearcoat black (1U) which was reserved for Lincolns only for that model year. So it was possible to have clearcoat black, but not likely unless you knew someone back in the day. Right, Ric? ;)

The only black listed in the '84 shop manual is 1C.
