intake April 21, 2006, 09:06:23 AM im installing an upper and lower intake without instructions today and i was looking for a little writeup on doing the install. im mainly looking for torque specs and sequance seeing as how i cant find my spec book i had. anybody know of any? Quote Selected
intake Reply #1 – April 21, 2006, 09:36:04 AM torque spec and sequence is usually in the package with the gaskets... For dropping the lower onto the gaskets get 4 long studs and screw them in the corners. This will guide your lower on perfect and will make life easy for you...I thought you was in the market for heads? Your just gonna have to tare her down again... That gt-40 intake isn't going to do much on the stock motor. Might be a waste of time :( I put my cobra on with the e7's and stock cam and it wasn't much difference. In fact I think I lost some low end torque in the process.just my :2c: Quote Selected
intake Reply #2 – April 21, 2006, 10:45:45 AM yeah, i just want the intake off my tool box. the gaskets are free from autozone with my gift card, and i dont know how long its going to be before i can get the heads... probley at least another month or so, and its giving me a chance to remove the egr spacer. o well... i'll see how it goes. thanks for the info bob.
