'Bird of another feather...or March 28, 2006, 09:29:29 PM my soon to be new (older, actually) car.The 1981 Tbird is going to be mine, boss wants 300 bucks for it, I think he'll even finance me, hahaha. What with my pay raise, I'm gonna have a whole flock if I don't stop...Speaking of flocks, also have birds of yet another feather, but they're in the house, in a box. We're going to raise a few chickens for some eggs, if the dogs don't kill 'em when we put em out in a few weeks.Pics of the '81 will be forthcoming, as soon as I get some money to the boss. As stated in the other post, it's a Town Landau, with the 302, and I'm not sure about the tranny, I'm thinking it's the 4 speed auto (AOD?)It may run, may not, the body shop guy said last time he messed with, about a year ago, that he thought the fuel pump was bad, but he couldn't remember if it actually had gas in it, so we'll see... 'Bird of another feather...or Reply #3 – March 29, 2006, 12:48:37 AM Well I have 82 Cougar parts. But my highschool decided that it was more easily cut up than left alone. I salvaged all I could, minus the 302. Sad, sad world. Quote Selected
'Bird of another feather...or Reply #4 – March 29, 2006, 12:57:38 AM My cars not runing so hot right now. Evry time i disconnect the battery..and reconnect it, it stalls out and the idle flexes a lot for about a month in (P)..then it straightens out, i think its a sensor. But inspection is coming up..so that should be fun lol. Quote Selected

'Bird of another feather...or Reply #9 – March 29, 2006, 09:14:16 AM That's one of the reasons I wanna go back to an older car, less electrical headaches and what-not.Sure will miss that start-er-up on a cold morning, and not having to sit with my foot on the gas, though. Quote Selected

Hmm,, again if i've heard a dollar for every time I've heard that. I would much rather pull Koeo/Koer codes then troubleshoot why i've gut a sputtering at idle with my 25 year old carburator.
