Yet another odd Cougar

I don't think this has been posted before, but it looks vaguly familiar to me. Anyways, what do you think of this ugly combo:

:yuck:
2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible - 4.0L DOHC V8 (AJ27)
2018 Ford Explorer - 3.5L DOHC V6 (Duratec 35)
1999 Mercury Grand Marquis - 4.6L SOHC V8 (Modular)
1987 Mercury Cougar LS - 5.0L V8 (Windsor) [SOLD in 2009]

When I see these "conversions" It just reminds me of how many tasteless and utterly lame people exist in this world, and to do it to a '83 to '86 cougar, which have classic lines and remarkable style.

I mean they aren't even cool looking. I can't believe all the wasted money that goes into these rediculously ugly machines!

I say "what the frick" to both of them.

That's as bad as that stupid kit you can buy for S-10's to put a late 40's-early 50's style front end on them. Looks totally out of place.

People really need to stop screwing around with cars lines. Old car sheet metal needs to stay on old cars.

No I like it too. The MN12 would look nice black. The lines on all the others are just way off and look like dookie. The trike and the CRXStang are just plain nasty.:yuck:

I think it could actually look cool if it had a step side box....

Yeah. Still needs alittle something done to the side of the cab tho. Stepside would definently help too.

I didn't mind the Couguar (the guy actually called it that on the site) until I looked at the back and how badly it meshed with the vertical rear glass and the rest of the car.  If they used a t-bird and did extra careful work at the back, it might not have looked too bad.
