jbl subs (anygood) Reply #11 – January 14, 2006, 02:01:54 PM thanks guys for the input. it wasnt JBL's i whent over to the shop again and it was JL. I have been eyeing those six insh subs for the doors. just not sure if it will be to big of an enclosure for them Quote Selected
jbl subs (anygood) Reply #13 – January 24, 2006, 08:58:54 PM I wouldn't even mess with the doors as I dont really think they add that much if you've got decent bass. In that case, it's really just another amp you have to power. I would look at some of the better quality but less well known brands. They don't mass market, but they are higher quality and 9/10 times cheaper. Try taking a look at Adire Audio, Ascendant Audio, Sound Splinter, or Resonant Engineering. All of them are pretty decent price wise but the ascendants I had in my car would outpound a JLW7 13 in the JL designed box according to the meter at a competition at our track. That's using the same JL 2000/1 amp in the same Grand Prix. Quote Selected
