Help! October 16, 2005, 11:17:23 AM yesterday while I was driving on the highway at about 65-70 car was running fine. I stopped to make a turn and the car started to ping and then lost power and wouldnt accelerate. I checked the ignition timing and it looked to be way off so I brought it back to where it should be and it was still running like it was way off. I thought maybe I threw a cam follower but all were in place and looked fine. the car is blowing alot of black smoke at an idle and if you try to rev it up it has no power and floods. I think I might have a few stuck injectors. any ideas? I need to get this figured out today need the car for work tomorrow. please help :( Quote Selected

Help! Reply #7 – October 17, 2005, 11:21:39 PM Problem is probably you block /head, like what was posted earlier they get warped after time, take them to a machine chop have them both decked, problem is your going to have to tear it all down to do so. I think they make a head gasket with will compensate for a slight warp but i think they are like 80 a peice and not sure if they are even avaiable for a 4 cyl Quote Selected
