turbo ler

which ones do you think give the best balance of growl/flow for the buck? Cherry Bomb turboII, normal cherry bomb turbo, Thrush, or the summit one?

This is the ler that I ran on my 88 3.8.
Had a small rumble at idle but made some serios noise when opened up, as opened as a 3.8 gets.

This is the lers that were on my 91 lincoln Mark. Deep rumble at idle and just got louder from there.

These are what I currently have on my 88 XR7. Very little noise at idle but makes alot when you step on it. This one is my recomended ler.

Im going with flowmasters. Would it hurt to run Super 40s on a stock 302? They say they are for high horsepower, but all it would do is have less of a flow restriction.

I'd like to go with Dynomax Ultra flow...but it's not in the budget...thinking of going with a set of FORCE fully welded lers from summit racing

What about some Hooker Maximum Flows? They're straight through, I have a set on my turbo coupe and I really like them. They're $60 each but they're supposed to be all stainless on the inside, I think. I know the Aerochambers are, they're a chambered design vs. the straight through.

I like Mac and FlowMaster.
U could be a bit different and go with Skunk2 Racing ler and sound like half imports out there.

Got a 3.8 use the dyno max lers. Made mine sound like it ate a set of imports. You know one for each side. :D

But that is only when you ran the thing out to red line. And it wasn't quite about it either.

I want lers that will be loud enough when I rev the engine to drown out any nearby fart cans or thumping stereos.  I have been thinking about putting in basically stock type lers and putting in the bypass valves so I can just open it up totally when I want but have a quite ride the rest of the time.

Electric cutouts can get pricey quick.  And are a little more complicated than just putting in a new ler.  What about Magnaflow?  I just picked up a ler for $60 dollars, but decided to wait to put it on till after I swap in a new 5.0.  They are all stainless steel, all the welds are garunteed for life, and they are wide open pass-through up to 3 inches.  I got a 2.5 inch.

The flowtech warlock ler showed in the previous post will make more power and torque than any other ler hands down(when opened, when closed it sucks).  Or you could be a cheap  like me and buy a pair of 2.5" dynomax super turbo lers with the offset/offset configuration and turn it into an ultra flow with the quick use of a 2.5" hole saw. :hick:
