Rear deck spoiler

I found a spoiler for my Cat today and put it on tonight. The deck lid currently on the car will be coming off in a couple weeks so I figured this will give the me a chance to determine exactly where and how I want to mount it without worrying about screwing up the new lid. I'll post pic's if it ever stops raining. The donor was a 74 Mustang Mach 1, a friend knew someone with the car sitting behind his barn rusting away. I tried to buy the whole car, but he won't turn loose of it. Imagine parting something you want to keep.

Anyway, the spoiler is primarily for looks, but I was wondering what angle it should be set at, since it is adjustable, to prevent it from robbing gas mileage, or from creating other problems. Most of my driving is highway (probably 80%) and usually 65-70 MPH. I'm thinking around 25-30 degrees, just enough for a slope. Anyone have suggestions??

Just keep it level.

I started with it level, and the rear end seems to want to float back and forth a lot more. Maybe it's just me. I did tilt it to a slight angle and it seems to ride better. Maybe it's all in my head, I don't know much about how the aerodynamics are effected.

I will post pic's after the weekend. I'm finishing the new deck lid to put it on the car this weekend. I just mounted it to the deck lid that is already on the car to get an idea where and how I wanted to position it before I put it on the replacement lid. The rear of the car looks like  right now with three different pen 15lors of primer, and the spoiler has a few scratches I'd like to fix first. I should have it finished by Monday / Tuesday if everything goes my way and can't wait to post pic's. I think it made a huge difference in the overall look of the car. Very pleased.
