88 cougar XR7 8.8 axle

I have the limited slip rear axle out of my 88 XR7 for sale.  The rear has 62,000 miles on it. I belive the car has 3:08 gears. I live in Kankakee Il.  I'm an hour S. of Chicago. I'm asking $100.00 OBO Thanks.  Dan

HOTROD,
I might be able to take it off of your hands ("might" meaning within the next couple weeks or so).  I live in Marshall, IL, so the distance wouldn't be an issue.  Does that axle still have drum brakes?  I've got an '83 LS Cougar with a busted rear axle, and I think it has 3.08's, but of course it's a 7.5 open rear.  An 8.8 would be great for any added HP I might drop in in the future (compared to the current carbed 3.8).  Let me know if you still have it and if you could hang onto it a little longer.  Thanks.

HOTROD,
One more question.  Does the axle have quad shocks?  Would they be included?  Thanks again.

The axle is complete drum to drum, it even had good ebrake cables.  The quad shocks are not included.  I will probably still have it when you want it.    Dan

HOTROD,
Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know I'm still planning, as best as possible, to take that XR7 axle off your hands in the near future.  I've gotta sell a few parts first and get some other bills paid.  Does the axle still have the quad shock brackets on it?  Just curious.  Thanks again.

It has the quad shock brackets that are welded to the axle housing.  Not the ones that attach to the chasis of the car, as they are still being used on my car.  Dan

HOTROD,
Just checking in to see if you still had the 8.8 axle?  I'm still trying to drum up the funds to take it off your hands.  Would you take $80, and I would pick it up?  Thanks.
