SAW (the movie)

WOW!    :sawzall:

If you like movies that fit in to the horror, thriller or psycho killer categories, you HAVE to go see this movie.

It's definately one of the best in it category IMO. The commercials aren't lying when they compare it to 7. My b/f actually described it as "The Usual Suspects" meets "Seven" which I can see.

And hopefully if you do go see it, you get the whole mess of horror movie previews like I did including the trailor for "TWO" (the sequal to "The Ring" both movies are based off of puppiesenese novels which I'd love to read if not for the terrible translation, couldn't even get through the first page in the store) and "The Devil's Rejects" (The second Rob Zombie movie featuring the same cast!!!)

It looks as though the horror movie genre is coming back!

Anyone seen "The Grudge" yet? I think that's next on the list...

yeah i really liked SAW also.. I must admit it was rather disturbing, and i liked it.

As for The Grudge, i found it to be a huge waste of time, they tried too friggin hard I think, plus when you're finished watching the movie you don't feel a sense of accomplishment, because basically nothing got accomplished in the movie. Watch it and you'll know what I mean. If you get scared by cheap been-done-before ways of trying to scare an audience, then this movie's for you, if you don't get scared easily by movies, then plot wise, movie sucks. IMHO at least..

The Grudge was good, at the time. It was creepy as hell to watch, but when I left, there was no creepy residue in my soul. :p I think they were trying to rip off The Ring. Esspecially the scene with the stairs.

**edit, because Crystal hasn't seen it yet. Lets just say there was one character that should have been haunting but wasn't there. Very loose plot**

Now the Ring, I was reusing pants so I didn't have to open the closet. :giggle:

LOL, I could tell you the grudge was trying to rip off the ring by the commercials. Maybe a matinee...

The Grudge is still worth seeing, IMO.  But then again, I am not as discerning a horror movie buff as you.  After watching that movie, I think I am going to give little Asian kids a wide berth for a while.  :rice:
