Reply #12 – August 05, 2005, 11:16:36 AM it was at a mustang event, they were coming out of a mall parking lot, a bunch of guys were showing off, about 5,000 stangs in total, and he happened to be the one that lost controlthe driver of that cobra is the kinda guy to put his Bogarts on the car with some slicks and skinnies, and hit up the track, then just drive the car otherwise, well, he goes to let into it on street tires, and it stepped out on him, and he lost iteveryone is so quick to judge the "he was a total moron", "he has no driving experience", "he shoulda done this", but probably every single person who runs their mouth has NEVER been in a situation like that, i got into a 3 page flame war on a V6 stang board, they talked all kinds of shiznit, and then you realize...even modded guys are putting down less than 300 at the wheels, unless theyre forced fed...so yeah, barely any tire spinnin there Quote Selected

Cue the tired old lines like: "If everyone else was jumping off a bridge, would you?" I don't care if I couldn't do any better in a situation like that.. because frankly, I wouldn't be looking to put myself in that kind of situation to begin with. Reply #14 – August 05, 2005, 12:37:36 PM The same thing happens every year when people are leaving the park at CJ (minus the wrecking, and lots of horsepower). I'm pretty sure each and every person goosed the throttle on the way out of the park, then abruptly slowed down when they relized the traffic ahead of 'em wasn't moving.
