1985 Ford Thunderbird 302/5 speed

New member here selling my 1985 Tbird. Gonna keep this short and sweet, list the pros and cons as well as parts into it. ill let the pics speak for themselves and please if you have any questions just ask. I bought this with a roller 302 and t5 swap already done sometime ago, previous owner did not know anything about the miles on motor but when i swapped the heads there were still cross hatches on the cylinder walls and motor was very clean inside throughout. Interior is complete and in very good condition. Everything works, besides the A/C (deleted) and heater core leaks (bypassed). Body has dings and dents and surface rust along the edges, most severe spot are drivers side in the door jam and quarter panel. Trunk has a hole but not too bad. Floors, rockers, framerails are solid. Here is what I have done to the car.....

Engine:
Ported GT40P heads w/ 1.9 1.6 stainless valves/heavy duty springs
B303 cam
Ford racing double roller timing chain
Hardened pushrods
Carter hipo fuel pump
Oil pump/ oil pan
Holley 670 street carb
Holley single plane intake
Pertronix flamethrower dist w/ rev limiter setting
New plugs/wires
Engine completey resealed top to bottom
Aluminum radiator

Transmission:
Tremec 3550
Lakewood blowproof bellhousing
Spec 3 clutch/ pressure plate
Ford racing billet steel flywheel
Stifflers trans crossmember

Rearend:
Mustang 8.8 with new:
FRPP 3.73 ring and pinion
FRPP Traction lock
Yukon axles
New bearings and seals
CHE performance tubular adjustable upper control arms
CHE performance tubular lower control arms

Exhaust:
Mac equal length shorty headers
BBK xpipe
Flowmaster 44s

The car runs and drives good. Needs some tinkering and tuning, the carb especially, its a used 670 that i havent touched. New brakes front and rear. Rear tires are new, fronts are used and may need balancing. The front coils are cut and needs alignment. I will be honest with all questions so feel free to ask. Asking $4500 obo Contact me via email or pm me here. Located in Syracuse NY. Thanks. jdsinko89@yahoo.com

Good mods, bet it should run quick.  Man, that rust took a toll on it up there.

Good luck with sale.

Does run pretty quick for what it is. It was outside for awhile before i "rescued" it. Hopefully someone will pick it up and finish it. Hate to sell it but its for the best. Thanks.

Did this car start life as a Turbo Coupe?  If it didn't, the manual shift conversion looks perfect, buttstuffog gauges and all.  Even still has the factory 2-post dial radio.  Good luck.

vin says it was a 5.0 auto, so im guessing someone grabbed parts off a turbo coupe. Tach is off, reads double than its suppose to, I need to swap out the resistors in the dash. Yes, the radio does work great, other needing some speakers it plays the aerosmith cassette tape i have in there perfect. Even the clock keeps perfect time!

You could really mess with somebody on the tach thing.  Tell them you've got the highest-winding, smoothest, most balanced 5.0 ever made.  Ask them what other car cruises at 70mph at 4500 to 5000 and is so quiet?
