Floor shift parts needed September 09, 2018, 11:28:43 PM Like most folks with a column shifted AOD I'd like to convert my car to floor shift. When getting the parts from a donor car with a floor shift AOD would it be easier to get the entire transmission with all the linkage attached or can I get the parts I need without the transmission? I've read the TV cable is secured differently in a column shift vs. floor shift vehicle. Any advice on this conversion would be greatly appreciated. Quote Selected
Floor shift parts needed Reply #1 – September 10, 2018, 08:14:48 AM Coolcats has a pretty good and in depth write up. I wouldnt swap the whole transmission, only the shift lever is actually different Quote Selected
Floor shift parts needed Reply #2 – September 10, 2018, 11:54:19 AM I'll likely have all the parts you need to make the conversion if this 87 Sport that I have doesn't sell by the end of the month. Been trying to sell it now for a while and not much interest. If it doesn't sell by then I'll start parting it out. Quote Selected

Please keep me in mind if your car doesn't sell although I would prefer to see sold intact to a good home. Quote Selected
Floor shift parts needed Reply #4 – September 10, 2018, 08:07:03 PM I just removed the transmission and shifter parts from my 88 XR-7. I have every part down to all the brackets for the AOD and the different shift lever. I wont be re installing them and I'm in Ohio as well. Quote Selected
