we all at one time or another have fell down that rabbit hole of IOT, and i saw an add.

with the climate today of maleness being criminalized , with 52% of all jobs being occupied by people that science calls female, i am suspecting this was another opprtunity for someone at google to play thier raindeer games.

the add said
"86% of MEN can't guess these 50 car parts by looking at one image".

I click the link and the title of the quiz changes to:
"86% of people can't guess these 50 car parts by looking at one image".

whats the takeaway from the add's purpose?, just sayin'

i think,, well, ill play.

I click the link, and questions start up.
Each picture had the same question.... which was " which car part corresponds with this image", you have 4 choices.

I started to notice some oddly worded things that to me sounded like it was from a person trying to sound like they knew car stuff.

example.. in some random group of answers when shown a pic that was obviously an axle shaft for a FWD car.
the options to answer , 3 were obvious duds but the correct answer waiting for you to click on was "wheel drive shaft".
no one in a position of "testing the population" has any right to be the tester when they cant get the correct jargin.

another one later the pic obviously was a "key switch" for a car.
the correct answer was "ignitioin switch",, wrong!!!!! but that was the right one.

another one the image was obviously a headlamp assembly, yet the correct answer was an ABS controller.
The image of a hand holding the headlamp was my focus, in the background was an actual part i believe could have been an ABS controller.
step 1 of designed to fail.

another of what i had to study hard because the image was more centered over something else of a bolt & belt but but the answers were not matching,,, so in the group of a>d options, i knew what they wanted me to say. in the side of the image was a mass air sensor, and one of the options was "air sensor".

here is where i as a stupid male stopped playing.
its pretty obvious to me im not as smart as the zoo.com resident expert who's prob all of 11 years old,

so a part of me knows that many people dont know this stuff as well as others but by design i believe thier is intended designs to futher deconstruct men's confidence in themselves by design of a snickering someone who said, no matter what answer he gives, i will make sure he's wrong.

this may sound like tinfoil hat stuff to some of you, but as ive said many times,, it take the rest of the world 5 to 10 years to come around to my way of thinking.
I remember 8 or so years ago negatively commenting on the future affects of social media this and that, myspace and such. the vast majority of this board found it to be a stupid "closed minded" point of view. if i were to say it today, seems like the vast majority would look at me and say, DUH thats pretty much common sense!

so my choice was the pitman arm,, because of all the answers the only object in the picture that came close to any answer would be the item designed to pivot and move, such being teh arm of the alernator.

take note of the wording in the so called "correct answer". any reasonable seasoned expert would not say power steering "LIQUID".

and just so you know, the correct answer is.......

apparently one question of a hand holding a clip....
the correct answer was "brake clipper"

my answer, at a glance i saw brake "caliper".

Ahhhh, the ole "let's make a quiz for people, BY people who don't know what the shag the parts are in the first place".. LOL

I guess googling names and pictures of car parts is out of the question for them.

I don't trust any of those click bait schemes. It's too easy for some of these hackers to find a way into our computers. I just don't partite in them.

I think I tried that same test on Facebook.

I got about 20 question in and gave up.
