My Thunderbird Died Driving On Road Please Help

I was driving the Tbird this morning and all of a sudden it just died without warning, car is an 84 Thunderbird with a 6 cyl motor and has a carb with throttle body fuel injectors ,I pulled the fuel line to the carb off and fuel was being supplied to the carb
I then disconnected the main cable that connects to the base of the carb and tried starting it again and it started and idled for appx 30 seconds then died on its own , any clues on what might be wrong with it?

Fuel pump, fuel pressure, injectors?  will it keep running if you give it some throttle?

Test for fuel pressure and spark. The most common problem in our cars with stalling (especially if it restarts later) is the TFI (ignition) module.
