head gasket question July 22, 2005, 10:53:11 PM ive been ridin on my blown gasket for about a month and a half. It smokes on and off and has overheated more times than I can remember. That being said I was wonderin if I needed to replace the head as well as the gaskets. I drive it everyday day and performance is about normal. Also what head would be good for my combo with no extramodifications. Quote Selected
Re: head gasket question Reply #1 – July 23, 2005, 12:08:11 AM You can do a couple of different things:1. save your money and pick up a set of used edelbrocks or similar head, I got mine for $700 shipped to my door and love them. While you got it all apart grab a cobra intake, new cam, and your set. (see my sig I'm running this combo now and like it alot)2. find a cheap set of E7's for $0-$100 bux for piece of mind and change gasket3. check out the heads or get them checked and slap new gaskets on... It all depends on what your looking for.. Quote Selected
