What size is my gas tank?

I know this has been discussed, but I wanted to know if anyone has had an 88 tc with the 18 gallon tank? I got a tank from rock auto it was the 22 gallon one. It's just a little bit to big. I can't get the straps bolted. I thought all 87-88 tc's had the 22 gallon tank? Did some come from the factory with the 18? Even if it was the 18 gallon shouldn't I still be able to bolt the 22 gallon one up?

The 88 should have a 22 gallon tank

Yep incl TC, all the '87 & '88 T-Birds I've seen had 22 gal tanks, straps are a bit longer...
