steering wheel swaps?

I was wondering how many here have swapped wheels and to what? The steering wheel in my 83 might be the ugliest thing I have seen and Im currently looking for a nice SVO/GT wheel of that era.

Would not be apposed to an aftermarket wheel if there is a nice looking direct swap out there too.

I have the GT/SVO style wheel in my bird. I had to delete cruise control, but no big deal there. I have always liked this style wheel.

yeah I have one in my 88 Ranger too which lead me to look for one for my new TC.

I went from the stock LX wheel to a 87-88 Turbo Coupe one and it made a big difference in feel.
'88 'bird, 10.9:1 306 w/TFS top end, forged rods/pistons, T-5 swap & bunch of other stuff, 1-family owned, had it since ‘98, 5.0tbrd88 on Instagram and YouTube

I put a TC/XR-7 wheel in my '85 Cougar. Better looking and far more comfortable than the skinny-rimmed stocker. I've replaced the T-Bird center with a Cougar head one since this picture was taken.

I went this route. I like it as the adapter brings the wheel about 2" closer.
84 COUGAR/90 HO, 1.7RRs, performer RPM,700DP, equal length shorties, stainless EXH ,T-5,Hurst pro-billet, KC clutch, 8.8/ 4.10s, line-lok, bla ,bla, bla.

What wheel is that Chuck?  I think im just going rob the 86 Mustang wheel off the race truck for now.

It's the optional wheel used on 83-84 TC's and '84 XR-7's.  Non-cruise control.
