Another new Thunderbird owner!

I've been looking for a nice clean and straight 83 - 86 Thunderbird for quite a while and finally pulled the trigger a couple weeks ago.  I found a dark gray 1984 Thunderbird with a light gray (nearly white) interior.  I think its only option was the 5.0 liter engine because it doesn't have the digital dash, power windows, rear window defroster or even rear speakers and only has a simple AM/FM radio.  I really like how basic this example is and figure it's probably the lightest V8 model available.

The headliner is falling (no shock there) but otherwise the interior is pristine.  No cracks, tears, stains or fading anywhere.  The body has some scratches here and there but no rust and all the panels are straight and line up nicely.  The car does needs some work before it's really road worthy.  The brakes have plenty of fluid but go almost to the floor when pushing on the pedal.  I haven't seen any leaks or wet spots so I suspect it needs a new master cylinder.  The tires appear to be pretty old too so it could use a new set and a proper alignment.  The A/C compressor works but doesn't blow cold anymore.  Fortunately she starts right up and and the transmission shifts smoothly.

I know everyone will want to see some pics of the car and I welcome any suggestions on how best to post them to this forum.  In my thirty years of driving this is my first Ford vehicle.  I've always liked the simple and graceful lines of this generation Thunderbird and the endless opportunities to improve their performance thanks to all they have in common with the Mustang.

Welcome, sounds like a nice Bird. Imho, if you only order ONE option in these cars, it best be the 5.0 V8 :-D

Welcome to the forum. You'll find a ton of great info here.

Sadly, mine just left in the hands of a new owner. The good news is that he plans to follow through with slapping a V8 in it just as I had envisioned.
