88 Cougar, 76k miles, 5.0, $3500 September 08, 2015, 12:44:51 PM https://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/5192509701.htmlSeems like a high price for the condition. Needs a bunch of work and the interior is filthy. For Sale 1988 Mercury Cougar LS 5.0 with 76,557 original miles (Original Motor & Trans UNMOLESTED). Interior is in Great condition no rips in the seats. I had intentions of getting the car repainted and doing some odds & ends stuff to it but I don't have time and its just sitting around. It is able to be driven as is and restored as you go. It has a couple of issues such as: the windows came out of the tracks (easy fix), and it has minor rust starting here and there. It does have a new dual exhaust, tires have plenty of tread brakes work fine and it drives fine.I took it to a body shop for a repaint 1 year ago, and the body shop went out of business before the work was done, lucky to have gotten it back. all of the moldings are with the car, I had to replace the header panel as it was lost in the shuffle. Price is somewhat negotiable as we all know cash talks.emails that do not have phone numbers will be deleted, so please leave your name and phone number I will contact you when I get home from work.VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD AS IS AND SHOWN'I DO NOT NEED ANY HELP SELLING AND I'M NOT INTERESTED IN ANY BROKERS SO PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE!! If I had ordered my Thunderbird new in 88 it would have been in that color blue with a blue leather interior. It's a really nice color combo.Although over the past 13 years I have come to like the silver/gray tue-tone exterior and gray leather interior of my Thunderbird . Quote Selected

I wouldn't even bother looking at the car after seeing the door bottom rot. Quote Selected

88 Cougar, 76k miles, 5.0, $3500 Reply #8 – October 12, 2015, 10:15:44 AM Pity. It's sharp looking, for the most part. I've no interest in a rust bucket, especially at that price! LOL.Thanks for the tip. Quote Selected
