Worth every penny IMO.  Maybe one of the nicest left in existence.

i know the car is worth that to us, but if I were interested in owning it, I would make a cash offer of $10k. Let him know that the offer is good for 60 days, and wish him luck selling it.  55 days later you will get a call asking if you are still interested, and then you can negotiate something favorable. 

This car is very own-able. I just bought the wife a mustang and need to let the savings account recover from that.

I could see it going for about half his asking price realistically.

If it's the same car I remember, he said one of the Kennedy's owned it. Was on eBay. Hit 19k and didn't hit the reserve.
