I like that a lot. I'd want mine fast, but more factory appearing.

I'd prefer it on a Granada or LTD, which was more upscale?
Current: 1986 Thunderbird, 105k 3.8/C5, 2 tone  Midnight Wine/Medium Taupe, wing windows, wire wheel covers.


Former: 1985 Cougar GS 115k Oxford White/Regatta Blue, 5.0, full console, 14" 8 hole aluminum T-Bird rims, Edelbrock valve covers.

from the picture looking up past the drive-shaft, it looks like they tubbed the car, narrowed a 9" and ran the exhaust over the rear axle to get around the rear suspension setup.  I'm not familiar with the 9" setup they have, but perhaps a panhard bar or watts link setup (?) and other goodies.  The box covers the suspension and roll cage cross-member as well.  It should make for easy access to the suspension and fuel pump from above...
