I always liked these, this was the generation of the Diamond Jubilee Edition.

I'd take the first one in the non-puke colour!  LOL

My father had a 78 brand new, dove grey with a red pinstripe.  351M car IIRC, no issues at all in the 2 years he had it.  During the 70s & 80s he was getting a new vehicle every 2 or 3 years because of the mileage he would put on for work.  After that he got an 80 T-Bird with a 255 in a similar colour combo to the second car posted above.  That car was an unabated POS, he didn't get another Ford for 10 years after that!  LOL

Just noticed the 2nd one, not too many 77-79's had floor shift, but man, a 302 in that big thing??

Yup, 302 was the base engine, options were for 351W, 351M, and 400 I believe.  Maybe 460 as well?  Don't recall for sure.

Given the choice, I'll take the second.  Something about the interior speaks to me.  Love it!

Never thought I'd ever see anyone asking $9000 for a Disco bird...

I like the second one too, because T-tops. There was one around the corner from me when I grew up, puke green with gold trim, including the dreaded trunk buckles

I'd take a JDE If I could find a clean one. Also, I prefer the full gauges.
