Wondering if/how the wife would kill me if I bought this.

Okay did you get married JUST so you can use that as an excuse/crutch??? ;):shakeass:Sometimes I swear to God people just LIKE saying that. Easiest cop-out ever. Like, who's gonna debate that? "Ooh hurr hurr yeah he's got a point there Bob he'll be in the doghouse we'll never see his ass again...jeez who the hell's gonna deal the poker game on Sattadays?" (Paul wishes he was a stand-up comedian, nah?)

I'm surprised the bidding hasn't gone higher...but then again the  thing has crud all over it! The first pic I looked at was the engine bay and I went SIIIIIIIIGH leaves leaves LEEEEEEEAVES clean the LEAVES OFF THE CAR THEY COLLECT IN DRAINS AND HOLD WAAATERRR!!!! And the roof of the car and hood has brown probably tree  on it. I mean...make the thing presentable it's a cherry piece. Do it justice.
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...

I've tried to buy a Cougar locally. Wife killed the deal. Said we have no more space for extra cars. Apparently she's not onboard with the car ding. I should have bought another car before I got married lol.

I don't understand why people don't clean a car of leaves under the hood or junk strewn around the interior/trunk before taking for sale pictures. Makes it look like you don't care about the car.

I like it, has the red interior, and more options than the silver 87 that I'm looking at. Were low optioned TC's rarer than fully loaded ones? I know low optioned first gen SHOs were.

You can sleep in the car but you can't drive the house! :rollin:

It's nice, I just can't do the red interior. I've passed on too many nice cars since I got rid of mine because I don't think I'll ever like the color. Someday I'll find one that I feel is worth it, someday.

That silver TC would look awfully nice sandwiched between my other silver foxes.......needs a blue interior to make the collection though.... :-)  Seriously nice survivor.  I agree the devil is in the details.  You can get such a higher price on a car that is crud free and super detailed.  Its a subtle thing, but it does tell a buyer the car was very well loved and cared for, and generally removes doubt of a cars origins.  I spent 2 hours detailing the cowl on the LSC i just got, and it is literally perfect now.  Aside from the actual drainage and rust concerns, it is just maddening to see that area filthy when you open the hood and show off a clean engine bay.

It worked for my dad many a time. Granted he was filling the basp00get with trinkets and gadgets as well as shelving units and metal s from buildings torn down at work, not the yard with cars...okay so there was an exception or two to that :D. But he provided well for mom, my brother and I, and was always there for us. Took a pay cut to stop traveling the world and instead work 15 minutes from home at the main plant.
