Replace standard digital dash with the full digital dash

So I'm wondering how hard it would be to replace my standard digital dash with the full digital dash, on my 1988 thunderbird, and what all I will need to do to get the electronic rpm guage, etc, hooked up, as the standard digital dash doesn't have an rpm guage.

Here is the picture of the standard digital dash seen above and the full digital dash below it.

We'll in not sure, for instance, if there is a wire that controls the tachometer under my dash (when converting to the full digital dash) since my dash doesn't even have a tachometer on it

just get an aftermarket tach and stick it where the clock is.

Is it hard to find the sender? I used to trip over them in the junkyards.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The full digital sender is different from the rest.  If you can find some I'll take them for spares.

You need the fuel sender that corresponds to the full digital dash.  They read differently.

Good thread here:

The thread shows them as available, but that was 9 years ago.  Any left are NOS on shelves or salvage yards.

Yes drewstang I am still looking for the full digital cluster at the moment, although I guess I also need to look for the fuel sender that goes with the full digital cluster, and also the tachometer sender too
