LOL!Seriously, I'm just getting an idea of what to expect at different price ranges at this point. Basically anything under $18K and you're gonna need to do some cleanup whether it be on the body or under the hood. Sometimes a lot, sometimes a little. I'd rather the cleanup be underhood as I'd want to do a head/cam/intake setup. Not to go super fast mind you, but these cars do need oomph to move 5,000 pounds. Some of the setups are for 500 RWHP for a good price. I'm not looking for a spotless numbers matching trailer queen; just something with good paint, no rust and good mechanicals that I can get in and drive to the beach on a Sunday morning. Gotta widen my driveway first. Quote Selected

She doesn't want to give up her Mustang's garage space. Quote Selected
86 5.0 Cougar Reply #5 – October 17, 2014, 12:48:33 PM She's mad we didn't take home an f100 from Carlisle back in 2008. She's been mentioning it as of late. It had a speed density 5.0HO swap done with an AOD and fresh paint. $9,000. You can't touch them in decent shape for that now... Quote Selected

I think she tolerates the car thing. Lucky you :). Quote Selected

Perhaps we'll see prices of 80's cars rise over the next couple of years. Once the baby boomers start to retire/die the prices of late 60's/early 70's muscle cars are going to drop. Just like 30's, 40's, and 50's cars before them. Quote Selected
