Over the years i have had to fix issues because of parts that are GARBAGE. And Stat gaskets fit this scenario. The gasket makers slot the bolt holes and that makes them leak quite nicely. So what to do??? MAKE YOUR OWN. This housing is from a CHEVY and it leaked when installed by the owner. You can see the silicone smeared all over it and that is not GOOD!! Even with the silicone the housing was destined to leak. So here is the cure,no slots no leaks and absolutely no silicone ever!! SIMPLE

If you guys think Ford Stat housings are hard to change try this VETTE. WOW what a pain in the #$%

While i was changing the stat i noticed the fuel pressure regulator nipple was busted off. So i replaced it. The customer could not understand why the car ran like garbage. Compounded with the timing retarded 20* after i finished it ran like a vette should run. Naturally the owner stripped the upper plenum bolts. I had to repair them with oversize bolts. Quite common with people that do not know how to install this intake.

I spend money I don't have, To build  cars I don't need, To impress people I don't know

HAVE YOU DRIVEN A FORD LATELY!!

I don't know why people use silicone on every  gasket. If you need to hold a gasket in place use high tack: http://www.permatex.com/products-2/product-categories/gasketing/gasket-sealants/permatex--high-tack--gasket-sealant-detail It holds the gasket in place when you assemble the parts and doesn't leak out every where.

I still think that intake looks cool.  Tom, where do you buy sheets of that gasket material?
