hello ! new member

I finally signed up here! Here's a bit of a story on my car, "el filoso" which in Spanish translates to "sharp". Anyway, this car lived at a friends shop forgotten by its own r 10 years. it was deteriorating bad. car has 103k. aod is probably toast. white leather waa . one day i check it out, and some dumba$$ slapped a 2 barrel carb and intake on the old 302 tbi.  it didn't run at all. just a mess of wires and vacuum lines. i asked my friend, "what's with the tbird"? Dudes says, "you can have it once i see it running ".  Well, i swapped in a performer carb and intake ong with a HEI summit distributor. It runs EXCELLENT . interior is bad. body is bad. rust on doors.... lots of love is what the filoso needs. I'm dealing with the aod tv cable/brackets dilemma as of now. luck hit me and i bought a 84 cougar ls with 93k on it. from second

owner!  Car has a 3.8 which i intentionally tried to blow up, but it held together for 25 miles and a bad head gasket was all it needed. I bought it for $200.

i will try to toss some pics here for you guys. i will have plenty to ask and wonder about.

for now, good luck with everyone's projects, and lets see progress pics!!

Welcome to the forum. First, I gotta give you props for having one of these cars. They take a special person to own and build one. ANYONE can do a Mustang, these take time, work, and patience, and in the end, it stands out as something different, and it's not ANOTHER Mustang. Can't wait to see the pics.

Starting tomorrow Saturday, i will be on the Filoso. The cougar is destined to the junkyard, its already sold for the same $200. I'm going to use its 93k mile sruts, brake booster/m cylinder, interior, doors, feinders, and gas pedail cable/ trans kickdown. also, the cougar has a healthy 3spd which is going into the filoso.
anything else i should keep?? I do feel a small amount of guilt ruining a perfect cougar, but i dislike its styling .

cheers!!

If the cougar is still in good shape there's a lot of stuff you could part out and sell on here. Lots of other members who do like it's styling ;)

Also good luck on your FILA project. Not a whole bunch of those running around these days...
