Manual HVAC, weird.

There's also an equally nice 87 XR-7 on eBay right now as well.
Current: 1986 Thunderbird, 105k 3.8/C5, 2 tone  Midnight Wine/Medium Taupe, wing windows, wire wheel covers.

Former: 1985 Cougar GS 115k Oxford White/Regatta Blue, 5.0, full console, 14" 8 hole aluminum T-Bird rims, Edelbrock valve covers.

I didn't know you could get manual HVAC in a 20th. I thought Electronic Climate Control was standard?
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Hmm. Not too far from me. I could be tempted. Let's see what it goes for.

Yup, manual HVAC is the only thing obvious that they didn't order. Didn't read the whole thing, does it mention Trac-Lok?
Edit- looks like no mention. I don't recall seeing anyone post one from MD. It's rather unique in that there's no reserve and the starting bid is so low. The seller glorifies this.
They must have gotten it for absolutely nothing / inherited it.

Looking close there are a few annoying defects. Some dents visible on the rear quarters. I don't know if that's white bird poop on the roof in front of the moonroof or what. :hick:

Someone evidently screwed self-tappers into the floor through the carpet for....a GPS / mic / ??? mount ? Rep-ra-bull but..really? :(
What makes those soft vinyl armrests on door panels bow and "peel" off like the passenger side one did? Just sun exposure? Maybe parked in just the right spot so that got hit a lot? Sometimes it seems so random, in vehicles like this where almost everything is beautiful and then BAM one soft trim piece is all tweaked up.

Anyone ever notice that like EVERY single 85-88 dash cap has is bowed / has a "hump" right in front of the steering wheel?
1987 20th Anniversary Cougar, 302 "5.0" GT-40 heads (F3ZE '93 Cobra) and TMoss Ported H.O. intake, H.O. camshaft
2.5" Duals, no cats, Flowmaster 40s, Richmond 3.73s w/ Trac-Lok, maxed out Baumann shift kit, 3000 RPM Dirty Dog non-lock TC
Aside from the Mustang crinkle headers, still looks like it's only 150 HP...
1988 Black XR7 Trick Flow top end, Tremec 3550
1988 Black XR7 Procharger P600B intercooled, Edelbrock Performer non-RPM heads, GT40 intake AOD, 13 PSI @5000 RPM. 93 octane

That's where the stock dash cracks on every single one I've seen.  I cut out the crack on mine in that area before I put the cap on.

Yup, it's poo.  That dent on the rear wheel well will be hell for a paintless dent removal guy as well.

I can't even see a picture where this is shown?  :dunno:

The very first interior picture, if you go left to right like reading a book in the image gallery, shows a little bit of the passenger door panel "armrest" and it looks peeled up to me.
Agreed, the dashes all crack right there.

As far as PDR....I worked for my cousin at his detail shop summer 2011. He has this guy Dwight. "New York Dent" is his business name, I can't find any info anywhere. I guess the guy does every high-end dealership around here and is hard to come by. This '08 black Escalade had a foot long CREASE in the passenger front door. Apparently a high-heel kicked it in. There were a couple other related dents/dings nearby. It was in the bay, and there's flourescent lights on the wall, etc. Well-lit. After this guy was done, I could not for the life of me find ANY evidence. I tried and tried and tried. I mean I've heard of what these guys can do...but seeing is believing. I was blown away. And it didn't take him too long either. I'm not sure he even took the door panel off.

Eventually I'll have him take care of like 6 dents in my red car. Hail storm that I honestly made out pretty lucky from. Twisted irony sure enough...I was driving it home from my cousin's old bodyshop when he took care of some rust. :rollin:

I have a guy I use down here who basically did the same thing on My Dodge.  8 inch long crease from a bicycle handlebar.  I show people where it was and they don't believe me.    THAT spot though has a lot of reinforcement behind it.

Figured I'd take a look since it is close enough. I won't be bidding on it but hopefully it ends up in good hands.

Sold for $4,002.26 today on ebay.  The 26 cents must have been a tie-breaker.  I think the price is correct for condition and mileage.

Not in my opinion.  And it couldn't be test-driven until the high bidder comes to get it.

Yeah, definitely some unknowns. Any mechanical issues...nothing I can't fix but the point being that it needs work period.
Engine bay looked really nice but they didn't have undercarriage pics..
