no low beam headlights

went for my daily night drive in the bird and noticed that both of my low beams are not working.  but when I pull on the dimmer switch the brights work...  I pulled the drivers side bulb and it apears to be fine.  any ideas?  thanks Graham

when you actually turn your highbeams on, do they work?
It's Gumby's fault.

yes the high beams work and also the park lights  I'm lost  bulbs are fine...  checked plugs with test light with lights on and there is no power.

The power for your low beams runs through your highbeam/flasher stalk.
Same thing happened to my 88 bird, inside the switch the contacts were corroded and got so hot due to arching that the pin for the headlamp power actually melted through the case and lost contact with the terminal, once fixed all was good.
You can remove the switch stack and take the switch apart,i reheated the contact and pushed it back up to the proper level.
Then i cleaned all the contacts and lubricated the entire switch assy with diecelctric grease.
Pretty sure that's your problem.
