Aftermarket hoods

I'm getting ready to order the ground effects and put the cougar in the body shop but this is the last time I want it in the body shop so I want to do everything and I'm thinking about gettin a hood.  What's out there beside the cowl induction hood and the tc hood?  I really like the look of the ram air hood on the ws6 trans ams, does anyone know if anything similar is offered for these cars?  What do people reccommend getting?  Thanks.

well theirs cowl hoods, or you can get a cowl hood, and if you want to switch it up, theirs tc hoods lol... anything different you need to coustomize. i was thinking of a 2-3" cowl with svo, or tc scoops  useing the cirvinies ram air system.  or that one crazy ram air hood  from crites

It's Gumby's fault.

I haven't found one like the WS6 hood. One dude put those stick-on scoops on his stock hood, and it sort of looks like that. That's the closest I've seen though.

If i had the money to buy the hoods I would take the scoop off of a 2001 Toyota 4runner and make the scoop almost horizontal. It might look alright. Its something to think about. I'll come up with some drawings

I like the one on that stang. I like the ws6 hood better but since nobody makes anything remotely close, that'll do but do they make it for these cars?

Re: Aftermarket hoods

no. that is for stangs only.. and I am pretty sure they won't fit any of our cars without some major modifications. there might be a few sites out there with hoods, but they would all be custom.

I use to make my own hoods a few years ago.  I made a cowl and a ram air hood.  The cowl hood was my first attempt and it wasn't that great, but the ram air turned out decent.  here is a pic of the ram air one.

I'm glad you can't find a Trans-am scooped T-bird hood. Those only look right on one car, and it's not a Ford. The CobraR hood is actually surprisinglly good looking, for a cowl.
