Here is a picture of his cluster. He is asking for reasonable offers and he knows what it's worth so don't bother insulting him ;)

He bought this as an NOS speedometer...installed it in his car and it has 28,652K on it now.....he just sold his Turbo Coupe and kept the cluster to sell seperately.

after we figured out how to convert a regular to the 140 mph face there hasent been so much of a need for them. You could prolly get you money out of ebay.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

i would be more than interested but they dont make a indiglo setup like they do for the american setup. it sucks i would like a canandian speedo to light up blue and show 140mph not 80mph so i have to suffer

A stock Canadian speedo would only show up to 120 MPH if converted. There were three speedos available: 85, 140, and 200km/hr (120 MPH). All three are nearly identical except a capacitor (diff between an 85/140) and a resistor/capacitor pair (what makes the Canadian one unique). They can all be converted to the other types by changing those parts (and, of course, the speedo face). The Canadian unit also uses a unique odometer that is calibrated for kilometers, but the odometers are direct swaps as well. You can put an American odometer into a Canadian speedo and it will still show miles, and you can put a Canadian one into a US speedo and it'll show kilometers.

I agree about the indiglo setup - I would have one in my car if they made 'em for the 140 or even the 200k speedo, but I refuse to take a step backward to 85...

You'll have to battle everyone else on Ebay for it(it's on Ebay right now) but don't bother with that price range....he'll let it sit in the curio cabinet for that kind of money.

I've watched 4 of these speedometers over the past 3 years sell in excess of $300 each....his is a bargain compared to those.

No big deal though...he doesn't HAVE to sell it ;)

Don't miss this chance to have the real deal and not some cobbled up overlayed modified speedo that isn't accurate OR correct!
Hey, them's fightin' words!
We went to a lot of trouble to cobble up incorrect speedos.  :tg:

Because he doesn't have an ebay account and I do....He works with me here at the same shop and we both have(Had in his case) Turbo Coupes. I have a digital camera...took the picture...posted it here for him and for you guys here to give you first shot and now I am listing it on Ebay for him.

The only reason I didn't acquire this from him is because I am running all Autometer guages in my Turbo Coupe and have no need for a stock cluster or speedo ;)

Does that answer all your questions? ;)

and that's great that you went through the trouble to make speedos work....no poke intended but some people want the real deal. The only reason I put that in the auction is because I got more than 20 emails from people asking me about a 1982 Mustang Motorsport speedo I sold last year wanting to know if it was real or "home made"...it was real and it brought a lot of $$$ because of it's rarity and the desire by some to have a genuine item ;)

Well, at least our work in speedo fabrication has driven down the price of the genuine motorsport speedo to more acceptable levels....

I still wouldn't give more than $150 for one myself, but hey, that's just me talking.
