Help?!?!? April 02, 2013, 05:12:31 PM Hey everyone! I am doing a little restoration project on a 84 Fila Thunderbird, and have found pretty much all of the replacement parts I need... With one exception. Window run channels. Mine literally fell to pieces when I tried to remove them. Can anyone tell me where to get new ones? Ford does not carry them any more, and all of the aftermarket replacements I can find are the wrong profile. I have posted below a photo of the cross-section. Please Help!!!! Quote Selected
Help?!?!? Reply #1 – April 02, 2013, 06:20:54 PM I don't know if this will help you any, but there are a couple small parts shops here in my town that will have a small rotating rack with misc. parts on it. I've been lucky more than once finding what I need on it. Maybe the small shops in your town have the same set up. Quote Selected

Help?!?!? Reply #3 – April 03, 2013, 09:02:46 AM I've tried every aftermarket parts company out there... fairchild, metro, etc. the problem being that the a/m universals are symetrical. this channel is not, it has a tall side and a short side. The only option I can think of is to buy two different sizes of the universal stuff, and split them lengthwise then bond them together. Other than that, I would have to have the OEM parts. OEM p/n's E4SZ6321596C and E4SZ6321597C (left and right) I am a Collision center production manager, so I am pretty good at finding solutions for this type of thing, but this one is killing me!! Were you able to find Run Channels in order to resolve this problem? If so, would you post or email the Source and Part numbers? If OEM or Universal? I did not have any luck searching JCW. Thank you.
