Re: pics of D&D tubular k-member/lakewood strut installed Reply #3 – June 16, 2005, 10:27:31 AM Nicely done! Notice any difference in weight between the old parts and the new? BTW, Canfield heads....they're from out my way. Very nice heads for the money. Quote Selected
Re: pics of D&D tubular k-member/lakewood strut installed Reply #4 – June 16, 2005, 08:28:28 PM yeah there is a night and day differance between the stock stuff and the aftermarket as far as weight is concerned. so far all this has been pretty straight forward install. next comes the manual rack and manual brake conversion. laterJoel Quote Selected
Re: pics of D&D tubular k-member/lakewood strut installed Reply #5 – June 17, 2005, 10:13:08 AM Did you have to grind on your brackets at all? I just installed a Ground Pounder K-member and the back holes were way off. Here's a pic. I also had to shim the front quite a bit. Hopefully today or tomorrow my manual rack will be here. I'll post some pics when I get it on there. Quote Selected
Re: pics of D&D tubular k-member/lakewood strut installed Reply #6 – June 17, 2005, 03:33:37 PM the d&d mounted up without any alignemt issues. on the 2 upper mounting plates they didnt exactally fit flush with the frame but once i put the impact on them they sucked right up tight. Quote Selected
